Oregon Medical Group is a multi-specialty, ambulatory care practice with over 100 providers across multiple locations in the Eugene/Springfield area offering compassionate care. Nearly one in three Lane County residents rely on us for primary care, with many more seeing our specialists. As part of Optum, our patients benefit from the resources of a national healthcare network. Our organization offers a PGY1 pharmacy residency program with ASHP candidate accreditation status housed exclusively in the ambulatory care setting. In the state of Oregon, pharmacists work under collaborative drug therapy management (CDTM) agreements to initiate, modify, and manage medications for chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, anticoagulation, and chronic pain. Residents will gain experience and confidence in management of these conditions, along with collaborating with clinicians on many other diseases and drug information support. Learning experiences include chronic disease management, transitions of care, endocrinology, pain management, leadership, and elective opportunities. Staffing will be in the primary care clinics managing chronic diseases and will average 10 hours/week.
