The PGY2 Ambulatory Care residency program at Mercy Health St Vincent Medical Center offers a unique opportunity for residents to develop advanced clinical expertise within the ambulatory care setting. As a resident, you will be at the forefront of providing evidence-based patient care tailored to the individual needs of each patient. Working closely with the healthcare team, you will play a vital role in improving patient outcomes through optimizing medication benefits related to chronic diseases. Patient encounters will be diverse, taking place in the providers' offices, hospital, pharmacy, home, and virtually. Throughout the residency year, you will actively manage chronic conditions like diabetes, engage in precepting students, participate in committees, and lead projects using Lean Six Sigma principles.
Possess a strong interest in clinical pharmacy practice
Demonstrate a desire to teach
Be eligible for licensure or licensed in the state of Ohio
Participate in an interview
Complete an ACPE-accredited Pharm.D. Degree program
Have successfully completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 pharmacy residency program by residency start date
