The Chester County Hospital PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program builds on Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training. This program offers a robust experience with well-rounded rotations and projects that foster skills in several areas of pharmacy such as research, formulary review, and even preceptorship.
Our residency incorporates a Well-Being Program which was developed especially for our residents to ensure they are supported throughout the year. This program offers resources, activities throughout the year, and regular assessments to ensure we are preventing burn-out, encouraging resilience, and teaching self-reflection.

Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy
BS in pharmacy degree with at least three years of hospital experience
Must be a registered pharmacist in Pennsylvania or eligible for and complete the Board of Pharmacy licensure process within 90 days of the residency program start date.
