The PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is an ASHP-accredited pharmacy program led by experienced and engaged pharmacist preceptors. TMH is a 772-bed acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center.
The residency program provides an in-depth experience in pharmacy practice with a goal to produce well-rounded pharmacists in pharmacotherapy and leadership.

Required: Internal Medicine I & II, Ambulatory Care, Critical Care/Emergency Medicine, Practice Management
Electives: Academia, Advanced Ambulatory Care, Cardiology, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Oncology, Neonatology/Pediatrics, and Psychiatry
Duration of some experiences is customizable for the resident
Longitudinal Experiences
Longitudinal learning experiences involve the resident in Patient Safety, Research/Quality Improvement Project, Education/Professional Development, Formulary Management, and Staffing, with interdisciplinary committee involvement throughout.
Tallahassee is home to the Florida A&M University College of Pharmacy, creating opportunities to interact with pharmacy students on IPPE/APPE rotations, or through the elective Academia rotation. Four medical residencies affiliated with the FSU College of Medicine help shape the collegial teaching environment at TMH that pharmacy residents play an active role in.
The RPD, preceptors, and Pharmacy leadership at TMH are dedicated to the success of our residents and believes in fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment. We look forward to meeting you!
Founded in 1948, Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) is a private, not-for-profit community healthcare system committed to transforming care, advancing health and improving lives. TMH delivers care to a 21-county region in North Florida and South Georgia through numerous healthcare facilities, including our 772-bed acute care hospital with a recently added surgical and ICU tower, a psychiatric hospital, multiple specialty care centers, three physician residency programs and one pharmacy residency program, and 38 affiliated physician practices. TMH is the only Level-II Trauma Center in the region with the area’s highest accreditations, including a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center with PCI and Resuscitation.
