Based at Family Pharmacy @ Las Colinas in Irving, Texas, and in close collaboration with a local college of pharmacy, this program immerses you in a rich blend of patient care, practice management, advocacy, and leadership development. Expect to roll up your sleeves and get hands-on in diverse pharmacy settings—dispensing, patient care, corporate solution development, academia—while consistently seeking new opportunities to enhance the impact of community pharmacy practice.
From day one, you’ll be welcomed with a structured orientation and challenged to design and implement new patient care services, taking projects from spark to tangible impact. Opportunities abound for teaching, mentorship, and leadership, as well as for exploring ambulatory care and innovative service models. Applicants must hold a PharmD from an ACPE-accredited program and be eligible for pharmacist licensure in Texas. Applications are submitted through PhORCAS, open in November and due by January 5th, and require a personal statement, Curriculum Vitae, three references, and official transcripts.
The Health Mart PGY1 Community-based Pharmacy Residency Program, Irving, Texas, participates in the ASHP Resident National Matching Program and has pre-candidate status with ASHP.
