Mercy Hospital Southeast is a 245 licensed bed community hospital located in Cape Girardeau, MO. Inpatient services at this facility include: cardiology, cardiac surgery, and cardiac rehabilitation, labor/delivery, level III NICU, pediatrics, oncology, orthopedics, medical/surgical care, med/surg critical care, neurosciences, rehabilitation, and is a TJC Primary Stroke Center.
Our PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program is accredited with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). During the 52-week program, residents will have the opportunity to practice in a variety of clinical settings to gain valuable skills and experiences applicable to future careers.
Rotational experiences include: Orientation, Antimicrobial Stewardship, Cardiology, Critical Care, Internal Medicine (Medical Telemetry), Internal Medicine (Cardiac Pavillion), Neurosciences, Outpatient Infusion/Oncology, Small and Rural Practice, Surgical Care, Emergency Medicine
Longitudinal experiences include: Management and Medication Safety, Drug Information and Research, Resident Teaching Certificate Program, and Professional Practice and Development
Applicants must possess a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and be eligible for licensure in Missouri.
