This residency is a 12-month program centered in the ambulatory cancer center at Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center and provides residents a wide variety of oncologic experiences to ensure the development of knowledge and skills necessary to provide expert care to oncology patients. Required rotations include orientation, inpatient adult oncology, pediatric oncology, infusion center operations, outpatient hematology, bone marrow transplant, outpatient Gastrointestinal, outpatient genitourinary, Outpatient Breast, outpatient gynecology, outpatient thoracic and head and neck, outpatient melanoma and sarcoma and outpatient neuro-oncology. The resident will also have their choice of two elective rotations. The resident will sit on our Oncology P&T committee, present an MUE at ASHP Mid-year, the resident year long research project at both HOPA and the Florida Residency Conference and a ACPE-accredited grand rounds presentation as well as various projects throughout the year.
Successful completion of (or currently enrolled in) a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency.
