This residency is an intensive 12-month program that will provide the resident with a wide variety of pediatric and neonatal experiences ensuring the development of knowledge and skills required to provide expert pharmaceutical care to pediatric patients. Required rotations include orientation, project month, general pediatrics, PICU, NICU, pediatric hematology/oncology, and pediatric emergency medicine or toxicology. Administration/Leadership, education, service (staffing), research and an ambulatory care component are year-long longitudinal experiences incorporated throughout the residency year. Various elective experiences are also available including pediatric cardiac critical care, pediatric infectious disease, pediatric nutrition, psychiatry and pharmacy leadership. The resident will complete a medication use evaluation or pediatric protocol development, research project and two ACPE- accredited grand rounds presentations.
Successful completion of (or currently enrolled in) a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency.

Wolfson Children's Hospital, a 220 bed teaching hospital, located on the downtown campus provides comprehensive services to children. Services include children's emergency and trauma, neonatal and pediatric critical care, oncology, general medicine and mental health.
