This PGY1 residency program builds upon Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education to develop pharmacist practitioners with knowledge, skills and abilities to practice in a wide variety of outpatient settings with diverse populations or to pursue a PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency. The Parkview team is committed to providing the residents with a variety of patient care experiences that will allow them to become leaders in their practice who will be able to create change and advance patient care services.
As part of a health system, the resident has the opportunity to work in a unique hospital outpatient pharmacy that facilitates transitions of care, focuses on co-workers as a patient population and serves a variety of outpatient clinics, including specialty physician practices. Residents can customize their schedule to meet their goals while also being provided a core set of experiences to become well-rounded practitioners.
Parkview Health conducts pharmacy resident recruitment, application and selection in accordance with the ASHP Accreditation Standard for Postgraduate Pharmacy Residency Programs.
Applications due Monday, January 5, 2026.
All residency candidates must register for the Matching Program and have a National Matching Services (NMS) applicant number.
Candidates must use the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS) to submit applications; includes transcript, CV, letter of intent, and exactly 3 letters of recommendation.
Candidates will be contacted regarding selection for interviews in mid to late January based on each residency program’s process and selection criteria, in accordance with ASHP Standards.
PGY2 pharmacy residency positions may be filled internally through the Early Commit process.
Resident must be a licensed pharmacist by September 30th
