The Pharmacy Residency Program (PGY1) at M Health Fairview St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, MN is a twelve-month program consisting of core and elective learning experiences that are tailored to the resident’s interests.
M Health Fairview St. John’s Hospital is a 184 bed community hospital serving a diverse population in the northeast metro area. The St. John’s PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program offers the resident an opportunity to work collaboratively with other health care providers and leaders to develop skills in patient-centered care, practice management and leadership. The St. John’s resident experience includes: instruction in central and decentralized pharmacist roles, participation in multidisciplinary care rounds, staffing, educational presentations, and completion of a major residency project. The St. John’s residency program is committed to developing a resident with a firm understanding of the pharmacist’s role in the medication management system and how this role spans the entire continuum of patient care.
