Residency Showcase Program Listings

There are three positions within the PGY1 Community-Based Residency Program at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy, located in the Oxford and Jackson Mississippi. This unique community-based program is in it's 17th.  Our graduates have gone on to a variety of careers and training including PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency, clinical faculty roles, specialty pharmacy, community pharmacy management, ambulatory care clinical positions, and other unique community-based clinical roles. 

On the Oxford Campus, the resident will be primarily at the University Health Services Pharmacy, which provides services for employees and students on the Oxford Campus.  There is also an ambulatory care clinic experience. The two Jackson Campus residents primary practice site is an independent community pharmacy in Madison, MS. Both residents will also be involved in providing patient care and clinical services in a variety of ambulatory care experiences including staffing the charity pharmacy at the student-led Jackson Free Clinic. Additional opportunities for all residents include working with the Mississippi Community Pharmacy Enhanced Services Network (CPESN), engaging with the local community, and participating in the Teaching and Learning Certificate Program.  We also offer the opportunity for our PGY1 residents to apply and interview for early commitment to our PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency Program on the Jackson campus.
