Residency Showcase Program Listings

Welcome! Congratulations on your decision to pursue residency training! As a resident in our program, you will train in a community-based hospital and healthcare system. Our residents enjoy training opportunities in multiple settings including acute care hospitals, a specialty cardiology hospital, an extensive array of primary care and specialty care clinics, MD Anderson Cancer Center, a specialty pharmacy, and the largest acute care behavioral care pavilion in the state. The pharmacotherapy residency started in 2009 (formerly family medicine begun in 2004) and is designed to provide both clinical teaching and practical experience in the inpatient, outpatient and academic settings. Each year, Community Health Network recruits one pharmacotherapy specialty resident with primary responsibilities at Community Hospital East, and Community Group Family Medicine Center, and potential for academic responsibilities with Butler University‘s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. The goal of this residency is to create a ...well-rounded practitioner that is prepared to serve as a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist in an inpatient or ambulatory care environment. The graduate may also be prepared to qualify for a clinical or non-tenure track faculty appointment in a college of pharmacy.
