PGY1 Resident
The PGY1 pharmacy residency program at Bethesda North Hospital builds on the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) educational outcomes, leading to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions. After successfully completing the PGY1 residency program, graduates will be well-rounded, competent clinical pharmacists able to provide patient-focused pharmaceutical care in the hospital setting. Graduates of the program are well-qualified to seek employment as clinical pharmacists or postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training. Required rotations include Orientation, Internal Medicine, Medical Surgical Intensive Care, Emergency Medicine, General Cardiology, Population Health, and Infectious Diseases. Electives
