ChristianaCare Health System offers an unmatched pharmacy residency learning experience. We are one of America’s largest (>1000 beds), non-sectarian, not for profit health care systems. We serve the Delaware Valley, and we are a nationally recognized urban and suburban academic and community hospital. Here you will learn by taking care of patients with a large range of pathologies while working with accomplished preceptors, accelerating your growth as an expert, caring pharmacist. The ChristianaCare PGY-2 Ambulatory Care Program provides the resident with advanced training in ambulatory care providing a variety of opportunities with unique experiences. The program incorporates a multidisciplinary patient-centered experience giving the resident the necessary skills to become an independent, confident and an innovative ambulatory clinical pharmacist. Required block rotations include orientation, primary care, anticoagulation clinic, HIV community program, kidney transplant, and specialty pharmacy. Required longitudinal rotations include ambulatory pharmacy staffing, practice management, primary care, research, and teaching/presentations. Elective block rotations are selected from a variety of services including ambulatory antimicrobial stewardship, behavioral health, endocrinology, neurology, pulmonology, rheumatology, Leadership Excellence EDucation-Residents/Fellows (LEED-R) and repeating a required experience.
