This Safeway Pharmacy/Regis University Program is based in Centennial, Colorado just minutes from the Mile High City, home to 300 days of sunshine, a thriving cultural scene, diverse neighborhoods, and legendary sports and recreation. Our Safeway Pharmacy leadership work closely with the Colorado Board of Pharmacy and the Colorado Pharmacists Society to advance pharmacy practice. Our pharmacists can prescribe and/or administer medications for over 15 medical conditions, administer routine and travel immunizations, perform health screenings, and work as a member of the healthcare team to manage patient disease states.

Each resident is assigned a home-base community pharmacy site where approximately 40% of time is spent. The community sites in Aurora have a dedicated team of  experienced preceptors to mentor the resident through the year. Both sites are located near the Division office in Centennial where leadership and management and MTM learning experiences take place.

Our advanced community-based patient care learning experience is supplemented with an ambulatory care learning experience at a local clinic, one day per week. Through our partnership with Regis University, the residents teach at the school of pharmacy one day per week, and participate in a teaching certificate program.

Unique aspects of this program include: Leadership Development Series (monthly TED Talk discussion and bimonthly Book Club); face to face and telephonic patient care services; involvement with Colorado Pharmacists Society; and national corporate pharmacy support and exposure. 

Pharm.D. degree and licensure in state of residency required. Official academic transcript, CV, letter of intent, and three letters of recommendation submitted to PhORCAS.
