St. Joseph’s Hospital is a private, not-for-profit, community hospital comprised of St. Joseph’s Hospital, St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital, and St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital. The Department of Pharmacy is responsible for pharmaceutical care services for approximately 900 acute care beds with an average daily census in excess of 80%. Clinical pharmacists are actively involved in medication order review, therapeutic monitoring, patient care planning and management, student and resident preceptorship, and interactive relationships with the health care team. Pharmacy technicians provide an integral component of the drug distribution system through the use of an automated, point-of-use dispensing system. The Department of Pharmacy is actively invol
