Ascension All Saints Hospital is a 356-bed community hospital located in Racine, Wisconsin. Our comprehensive medical facility integrates the Pharmacy Department in every step of the medication-use process, from general medicine to specialty areas including NICU/pediatrics, oncology, medication safety, critical care, mental health, infectious disease, transitions of care, emergency medicine and ambulatory care.

Residency purpose
PGY1 pharmacy residency programs build on Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training.

Rotations
Rotations are typically 4-6 weeks in length.
Required rotations include:
• Intro/Orientation to Pharmacy Practice
• Infectious Disease
• Internal Medicine
• Ambulatory Care (block)
• Emergency Medicine
• Critical Care
• Transitions of Care
• Drug Policy
• Medication Safety

Optional opportunity
Academic rotation at Concordia University with teaching certificate

Elective rotations include:
• Infectious Disease 2
• Emergency Medicine –Trauma

Fall and spring longitudinal rotations include:
• Administration/Practice Management
• Ambulatory Care (elective–spring)
