Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla PGY2 Infectious Diseases
Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla offers one 12-month Infectious Diseases PGY-2 residency position. This PGY2 program will train the resident to practice independently as an infectious diseases pharmacist in a supportive environment. Graduates will be prepared to oversee an antimicrobial stewardship program and will be eligible for board certification in infectious diseases. Residents will have the opportunity to work with five different ID pharmacists and see infectious disease practices at three additional Scripps hospital sites. The ID resident will also have opportunities to precept students, serve as a case conference leader, and lecture for pharmacy students at UCSD College of Pharmacy. This program is currently accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacis
