 To provide experiences to develop pharmacy practitioners who will possess the knowledge of the systematic processes associated with medication acquisition, appropriateness, and accreditation standards as well as clinical knowledge to provide high-quality patient care to advance pharmacy practice 
 Program Goals: 
 The primary goals of the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program with&#xa0;in the ambulatory care-specialty setting are as follows: 
 
 Develop competent pharmacists, capable of practicing at a clinical pharmacist level in any pharmacy setting&#xa0; by successfully completing each learning experience 
 Prepare residents to pursue and be employed as a specialty staff pharmacist in the specialty of the resident&#39;s choice 
 Prepare residents to successfully challenge the BCPS examination at the conclusion of the PGY1 program 
 Prepare residents to successfully match at the PGY2 program of the resident&#39;s choice
