								<description>Austin, Texas,  Ascension Seton, in conjunction with The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy, is offering an ASHP accredited Post Graduate Year 2 (PGY2) Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency. Ascension Seton is a 12-hospital network in Austin and the surrounding Central Texas area. The primary base for the residency program is at Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas (a large tertiary care, academic institution and Level I trauma center), but residents have the opportunity to complete rotations at some of our community and our pediatric hospitals. The residency is designed to provide the resident with an intense, concentrated and diverse 12-month training program with a focus on antimicrobial stewardship and the clinical application of antimicrobial pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. Required rotations include antimicrobial stewardship, infectious diseases consult service, HIV, pediatric infectious diseases, and adult critical care. Residents will also gain exposure to microbiology lab and infection prevention. Other rotations are available as electives. Requirements: 
 Participating in or completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 residency program or one in the ASHP accreditation process

 The PGY1 portion of this combined residency program provides an in-depth clinical experience at Ascension Texas / Seton Healthcare Family, which consists of a 13-hospital network throughout central Texas. 								<description>Corpus Christi, Texas,  Driscoll Children&#8217;s Hospital (DCH) is a free-standing, 191-bed, pediatric, not for profit, tertiary care hospital with more than 30 medical and surgical specialties offering care throughout South Texas, including Corpus Christi, the Rio Grande Valley, Victoria, and Laredo. Through the vision and generosity of its founder, Clara Driscoll, Driscoll Children&#8217;s Hospital opened in 1953, becoming the first, and remains the only, free-standing children&#8217;s hospital in South Texas. In 2020, Driscoll had almost 122,000 patient visits, including almost 28,000 patients seen at South Texas&#8217; first emergency room created exclusively for children. 
 DCH offers two (2) PGY-1 residency positions annually for applicants with a primary interest in pediatric pharmacy practice.&#xa0;&#xa0; 
 ** Please note, the 2022-2023 residency year will be the first year of this program. 
 PGY-1 residents are provided with a variety of required pediatric experiences, including general pediatrics, pediatric intensive care, pediatric hematology/oncology, neonatal intensive care, cystic fibrosis/pulmonology, and speciality pharmacy.&#xa0; In addition, residents participate in longitudinal experiences in ambulatory care, pharmacy administration, project management, and practice management.&#xa0; Elective opportunities allow residents to focus on areas of interest.&#xa0; Available electives include cardiovascular intensive care/cardiology, investigational medications, renal transplant, advanced practice experiences in core rotations, and additional experiences tailored to resident areas of interest. 
 An optional teaching and learning certificate program is available, and certification in BLS and PALS is provided. Residents qualify for Driscoll Children&#39;s Hospital benefits and receive travel and meeting registration reimbursement for the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting and annual PPA meeting.&#xa0; Residents receive an estimated annual stipend of $55,000.

								<description>San Antonio, Texas,  The PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program builds on Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY-2) pharmacy residency training.&#xa0; The PGY-1 Residency Program at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa - Westover Hills is designed to provide a wide range of clinical experiences with a focus on inpatient acute care in a community hospital setting. The program is affiliated with the University of Texas at Austin &#8211; College of Pharmacy, through which, residents will have the opportunity to obtain a teaching certificate.&#xa0; 
 Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy 
 Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) Licensure or be eligible for immediate TSBP licensure by September 30th of the residency year
