<description>Salt Lake City, Utah, The hospital-based PGY1 program at Intermountain Healthcare is a unique program with 15 positions available at 6 facilities.&#xa0;Through the match, residents are assigned to a home-base facility where they complete their core learning experiences and staffing. Electives may be taken at various facilities throughout the healthcare system.&#xa0;The program director,&#xa0;site&#xa0;coordinators, and preceptors work to assist residents in selecting rotations to meet individual professional goals, ASHP residency standards, and ASHP learning objectives.
Please note that the 5 practice sites in the Salt Lake Valley are accredited as one program; therefore, candidates can apply to all 5 facilities and it will only count as one selection in PhORCAS. The PGY1 program in St. George, UT, is separately accredited; however, all facilities in the Intermountain Healthcare network follow a unified set of training standards, allowing residents to have a consistent experience regardless of where their home-base facility is.
