Residents also have the opportunity to complete rotations at four of our community hospitals, and our free-standing, pediatric hospital. After completing the orientation month, residents are required to complete two rotations in Internal Medicine (one in each the academic and community hospital settings) and one rotation in each of the following: Adult Critical Care, Adult Infectious Diseases, Practice Management, and a Pediatric rotation. Required rotations include antimicrobial stewardship, infectious diseases consult service, HIV, pediatric infectious diseases, and adult critical care. Residents will also gain exposure to microbiology lab and infection prevention. Other rotations are available as electives. Requirements:

								<description>Bridgeport, Connecticut,  Bridgeport Hospital (BH) is an acute care teaching hospital in the Yale New Haven Health System. BH provides a wide range of clinical services including cardiology, pulmonology women&#39;s health, pediatrics, psychiatry (adult, adolescent and geriatric), oncology, and is the site of Connecticut&#39;s only dedicated Burn Center. Bridgeport is located on the shoreline of Connecticut, an hour from New York City and 2 hours from Boston. 
 Core rotations include general medicine, infectious diseases, medical/cardiac intensive care, surgical/burn intensive care, pediatrics, and administration. Elective rotations include burn critical care, emergency medicine, sterile products, and other rotations by special arrangement.
