PGY1 Pharmacy Residency (Acute Care)
University Health Truman Medical Center is an academic health center providing accessible, state-of-the-art quality healthcare to the Kansas City community and beyond. It has a level 1 trauma center and is the busiest adult emergency room in the Kansas City Metropolitan area with more than 60,000 visits a year. This acute care program builds on Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients of a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for post graduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training. Pharmacists completing this residency will be competent and confident pharmacy practitioners of direct patient care in various environments.
