University Health Truman Medical Center is an academic health center providing accessible, state-of-the-art quality healthcare to the Kansas City community and beyond. It has a level 1 trauma center and is the busiest adult emergency room in the Kansas City metropolitan area with more than 60,000 visits a year.  This program builds on Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and PGY1 pharmacy residency programs to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists in advanced or specialized practice. Residents who successfully complete this program will possess competencies that qualify them for clinical pharmacist and/or faculty positions and will position them to be eligible for attainment of board certification in critical care pharmacy.
