The purpose of this PGY2 pharmacy residency program is to build onDoctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and PGY1 pharmacy residencyprograms to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists inspecialized areas of practice. PGY2 residencies provide residents withopportunities to function independently as practitioners by conceptualizingand integrating accumulated experience and knowledge and incorporatingboth into the provision of patient care or other advanced practice settings. Residents who successfully complete an accredited PGY2 pharmacyresidency are prepared for advanced patient care, academic, or otherspecialized positions, along with board certification, if available.The Infectious Disease Residency Program
