The PGY-2 Investigational Drugs and Research residency program at Baptist Hospital/Miami Cancer Institute is a 12-month training program that provides specialized training and experiences in clinical research. The purpose of the program is to develop well-rounded Investigational Drug Service pharmacists and effective clinical instructors who can provide high-level clinical care in in the research setting, effectively share their knowledge, and promote learning among students and other residents.The focus of this residency program is to provide exposure to the regulatory and operational requirements that govern clinical research and to cultivate skills necessary to provide clinical care to research participants in the medical oncology and hematologic setting.
