Posted: 13-Sep-22 Location: Durham, North Carolina PGY1: Pharmacy
PGY2: Internal Medicine Pharmacy
Session: Tuesday PM
Booth Number: 6139
Required Education: PharmD
The Post-Graduate Year 2 (PGY-2) residency in Internal Medicine program builds on the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and PGY1 pharmacy residency program to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists in advanced or specialized practice. PGY2 residencies provide residents with opportunities to function independently as practitioners by conceptualizing and integrating accumulated experience and knowledge and incorporating both into the provision of patient care that improves medication therapy. Residents who successfully complete an accredited PGY2 pharmacy residency should possess competencies that qualify them for clinical pharmacist and/or faculty positions and position them to be eligible for the attainment of board certification in the specialized practice area (when board certification for that practice area exists). We encourage all interested applicants to forward completed application materials to us through the PhORCAS system (deadline for submission will be January 1st, 2023). Upon receipt and review of your application, qualified individuals will be invited for an on-site interview. This interview will provide you the opportunity to see our hospital, meet the program director and present resident, and get to know some of our staff and preceptors. Again, thank you for your interest in the residency program at Duke Regional Hospital. https://regionalpharmacy.duke.edu/ Required Application Materials through the PhORCAS system:
