The PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency at North Memorial Health is a newly established program designed to adhere to the ASHP accreditation standards. Upon accreditation, all past residents will be recognized as having completed an ASHP-accredited residency. This program provides residents with advanced training in various critical care settings, aiming to develop the competencies required for independent practice within an interdisciplinary critical care team, manage critical care practice, precept critical care learners, and achieve BCCCP certification upon completion. Core rotations include Trauma-Neuro ICU, Cardiovascular ICU, Medical-Surgical ICU, Neonatal Intensive Care (at the Maple Grove Hospital), ICU precepting, Infectious Diseases, and Emergency Medicine. Elective rotations are available in Cardiology, Toxicology (at the regional poison control center), ICU nutrition, Palliative Care, Health Analytics, and Surgical Services. Longitudinal rotations encompass ICU staffing, ED staffing, and Practice Management.

Pharmacy practice is decentralized, utilizes an electronic health record (EPIC®), and employs automated dispensing cabinets to dispense medication doses.
