PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency Program at Southwest
PeaceHealth Southwest
Application
Details
Posted: 17-Oct-24 Location: Vancouver, Washington PGY2: Ambulatory Care Pharmacy
Session: Monday
Booth Number: 4237
Our program features a robust ambulatory care pharmacy practice that encompasses key elements of primary care and family medicine pharmacy practice. There are two primary care clinics for longitudinal continuity experiences, each served by two full-time pharmacists that independently manage drug therapy under extensive collaborative drug therapy management agreements and bill for services provided.
Pharmacists routinely manage anticoagulation (warfarin), diabetes, hepatitis C, hypertension, COPD, and smoking cessation. They also perform spirometry, see patients for HIV consults and polypharmacy, and spend time at our pulmonology clinic providing smoking cessation services. Residents will also have the opportunity to precept PGY1 pharmacy residents and teach family medicine medical residents throughout their year.
PeaceHealth Family Medicine of Southwest Washington is located in Vancouver, Washington and is part of the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area. Bordered by the Columbia River, the Cascade Mountain range to the east, and Portland to the south, Vancouver and surrounding Clark County enjoy some of the most scenic recreational areas in the world. Vancouver is one of the fastest growing cities in the country and the medical center thrives on providing comprehensive care to the community.
We would love to talk with you at the residency showcase! Stop by our booth (4237) during the Monday 1-4 PM session.
