The PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency program, customized to the specific interests and goals of each resident, provides a well-rounded training experience with an emphasis on education, service, and research in an acute care setting. Residents will provide medication therapy management, conduct research, and provide education to patients and healthcare professionals. Core rotations include pharmacy administration/medication safety, internal medicine, infectious diseases, and critical care. Elective rotations include emergency medicine/toxicology, renal transplantation, pediatrics, neonatal intensive care, informatics, antimicrobial stewardship, and ambulatory care. The PGY-2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy residency is a 12-month program. This residency is designed to develop competencies necessary to provide pharmaceutical care to patients with infectious diseases by providing patient care, teaching, and clinical research in the area of infectious diseases pharmacotherapy. In addition to infection disease rotations, the resident also completes rotations such as microbiology and infection control. Longitudinal rotation includes HIV clinic.
