The Division of Pharmacy at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center offers a two year PGY1/PGY2 Health System Pharmacy Administration residency program in collaboration with the University of Houston College of Pharmacy Master of Science in Pharmacy Leadership and Administration program. MD Anderson Cancer Center, located within the Texas Medical Center, is a world renowned 700+ bed acute care facility along with an outpatient cancer center caring for approximately 1.4 million patients per year. Pharmacy services provide advanced clinical care and integrated distributive services using centralized and decentralized distribution models. The residency program is a well-rounded program that includes multiple aspects of pharmacy practice, and management experiences. The residency learning experiences include both core rotations as well as elective rotations scheduled throughout the program to help the resident further individualize the residency to meet their future career goals. Through these experiences the two year PGY1/PGY2 Health System Pharmacy Administration residency program will develop pharmacy leaders with expert knowledge and skills necessary to assume clinical or operational management positions within a health system pharmacy.
Qualifications/Requirements for Acceptance: PharmD degree from an accredited school of pharmacy Eligible for licensure in the state of Texas Completion of MD Anderson application requirements Meet admission requirements for The University of Houston’s College of Pharmacy Master of Science in Pharmacy Leadership and Administration program On-site and/or virtual interview required
