The PGY1 Pharmacy Residency program at the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center is accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). The University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center is an acute care teaching hospital and a regional referral center. We are also a level 2 trauma center- second highest volume in the state of Maryland. We are known to have the fewest barriers to patient care of any hospital in our region. We provide clinical services in various areas including critical care, trauma, cardiac surgery, emergency medicine and women/infant care. Our new state-of-the-art medical center opened in June 2021.
