The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) College of Pharmacy offers a PGY-1 Community-Based Pharmacy Residency Program in partnership with Kroger Pharmacy. This program is designed to prepare pharmacists for advanced patient care roles in community settings through direct patient interaction, clinical service development, research, and teaching.

Program Highlights:
Practice Sites: Kroger pharmacies in Memphis, Nashville, and Knoxville, TN
Focus Areas: Medication therapy management, immunizations, point-of-care testing, chronic disease management, and health coaching
Professional Development: Teaching certificate program, leadership training, and service innovation projects
Research: Completion of a residency research project with presentation and manuscript submission
Conferences: Supported attendance at national and regional meetings
Benefits:
Annual stipend: $47,476
Health insurance available
10 days personal/sick leave
$3,000 travel allowance
Pharm.D. degree from an ACPE-accredited institution
Eligible for pharmacist licensure in Tennessee
Participation in the ASHP Residency Matching Program
Strong interest in community-based patient care and clinical service development
