Post graduate pharmacy residency training at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center cultivates future leaders in the pharmaceutical care profession through experiences that further advance the resident's knowledge, confidence, leadership skills and understanding of how a healthcare system functions. Through close and enduring collaborations between the UNM College of Pharmacy and the UNM Hospitals Department of Pharmacy, pharmacy residency programs at UNM are unique to most others. We provide our residents the opportunity to interact with one of the most diverse patient populations in the nation while practicing within an award winning interdisciplinary healthcare setting. Additionally, UNM Pharmacy residents have direct access to the knowledge and experience of nationally and internationally recognized practitioners, all within state-of-the-art facilities, situated in a geographically beautiful and culturally rich region. Currently offer: 7 PGY1 positions- virtual interviews. University of New Mexico Hospital (UNMH) is New Mexico’s only academic medical center that provides comprehensive care for the residents of New Mexico and the surrounding areas. UNMH has the only Level I trauma center in the area. UNMH also has an NCI designated comprehensive cancer center, a comprehensive stroke and neuro trauma service, a pediatric cardiothoracic surgery program, and adult and pediatric comprehensive psychiatry services.
