St. Vincent's Healthcare is a not-for-profit health system that has served the people of Jacksonville, Florida, and the surrounding area since 1916. We are a member of Ascension, the nation's largest faith-based healthcare system that is dedicated to transformation through innovation across the continuum of care. Today, we are recognized for providing high-quality, compassionate care to everyone we serve. The St. Vincent’s Pharmacy Residency PGY1 Program was established in 2006. In 2017, we expanded by providing a PGY2 program in critical care. We currently offer five PGY1 positions and one PGY2 critical care position that are fully accredited by ASHP. Our residency programs are customized to each residents career goals and are designed to develop advanced knowledge to provide high level pharmaceutical care. We have dedicated preceptors that have received certification in a variety of Board of Pharmacy Specialties including: ambulatory care, cardiology, critical care, infectious diseases, nutrition support, oncology and pharmacotherapy. In addition, we have a well developed resident research program that has been published in multiple peer reviewed journals.
