Residency Showcase Program Listings

The ACME Pharmacy Community-based Residency Program is based in southeastern Pennsylvania, close to Philadelphia, home to museums, parks, national historic sites, sports, and famous food. Our ACME pharmacists can furnish and administer a growing list of medications, routine and travel immunizations, as well as perform medication therapy management services, pharmacogenetic testing and health screenings. They work as members of the healthcare team to manage patient disease states.

Each resident is assigned a home-base community pharmacy site where approximately 40% of time is spent. Both the Flourtown and Media community sites have a dedicated team of experienced preceptors to mentor the resident through the year. Leadership and management learning experiences take place at the Malvern office. Our advanced community-based patient care learning experiences are supplemented with ambulatory care-based patient care at Crozer-Keystone Medical Center and clinics affiliated with each of our university partners: Temple University and the University of the Sciences. Residents also have an opportunity to manage patient care plans in conjunction with our company’s specialty medication department. Our residents also participate in teaching certificate programs at their affiliated universities and participate in the statewide TOP TIER community residency research series.

Our program's learning experiences have been specifically designed not only to ensure you have the skillset necessary for success immediately upon graduation, but also in the near-future when pharmacy practice has further advanced. These learning experiences allow room for adjustment based on your strengths, interests, development opportunities, and future goals. Successful completion of this residency program provides eligibility for advanced training opportunities including postgraduate year two (PGY2) residencies and professional certifications.
