Purpose Statement

• The ASHP Accredited Pharmacy Residency Program at Memorial Medical Center prepares its graduates to practice as clinical pharmacists in small and medium-sized community teaching hospitals and clinic settings or pursue PGY2 training.
• The residency training focuses on the development of skills necessary to provide optimal drug therapy, function competently on inter-professional teams, and become leaders in the medication use process.

Special Features

• This is a 12-month program which can be tailored to the background and interests of the individual resident.
• Pharmacy resident will work closely with Southern New Mexico Family Medicine Residents during the inpatient and outpatient experiences.
• Opportunity to provide comprehensive medical care in an underserved, border community.

Applicants must:

• Obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in the U.S. from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
• Be eligible for license to practice pharmacy in New Mexico.

· Three letters of recommendation from healthcare professionals
