Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital is a community hospital located in the western suburbs of Chicago. Comprehensive inpatient care, including medicine, critical care, surgical services, and other specialties, is provided to a diverse population. Additionally, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital is a Primary Stroke Center and the only Level I Trauma Center in DuPage County, Illinois.

This program offers learning experiences in general medicine, Critical Care, Infectious Diseases, Emergency Medicine, transitional care, Administration, and drug information as well as staffing, Teaching, Emergency Response, and year long project

All applicants must apply through PhORCAS and meet the following criteria:

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy (or one in process of pursuing accreditation) or have a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee (FPGEC) certificate from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP)

• Eligible for pharmacist licensure in Illinois. Residents are expected to be licensed as a pharmacist in the state of Illinois prior to starting the residency program and sit for exams at the first available opportunity.
• Not employed outside the organization during the program.
• US citizen or permanent resident of the US.
• Flexibility to start on a pre-determined date. Ask the program director for the exact date. Adjustments to the start date are not allowed.
