The White River Health PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program is designed to provide post-graduate pharmacists with a structured and intensive learning experience. As a PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident, you will engage in a variety of activities aimed at advancing your clinical knowledge and skills. You will work under the supervision of experienced preceptors to provide medication-related care to patients with diverse medical conditions. Through this program, you will develop the expertise necessary to pursue board certification and advance to a PGY-2 pharmacy residency program. The curriculum encompasses a wide range of clinical experiences, educational sessions, and research opportunities to enhance your pharmacy practice. As a PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident, your responsibilities will include actively participating in clinical rounds, conducting patient assessments, providing medication therapy management, and engaging in interprofessional collaborations. You will also have the opportunity to engage in pharmacy administration tasks, teaching opportunities, and medication safety initiatives. Throughout the residency, you will receive mentorship and guidance to support your professional growth and development. The ideal candidate for this position is a motivated and dedicated PharmD graduate who is committed to advancing their clinical pharmacy skills. Strong communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and a passion for patient care are essential qualities for success in this program. Additionally, candidates must be eligible for licensure in the state of Arkansas.

White River Health (WRH) is an acute care, multi-facility, not-for-profit, regional referral center serving North Central Arkansas, first established as the White River Medical Center (WRMC). The WRH service area includes ten counties: Independence, Izard, Sharp, Stone, and parts of Cleburne, Fulton, Jackson, Lawrence, Van Buren, and White.
