Pharmacy Residency Programs | VA Salt Lake City Health Care | Veterans Affairs

The VA Salt Lake City Residency Program offers both Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) and Postgraduate Year Two (PGY2) residencies.  Our PGY2 programs include both Psychiatry and Ambulatory Care. We offer 3 positions for our PGY1 program, 2 positions for our PGY2 Psychiatry, and 1 PGY2 Ambulatory Care position. 

All postgraduate programs are 12 months in duration and ASHP accredited.

Our objective is to train residents for patient-centric clinical positions by advancing their knowledge, skills and attributes in pharmaceutical care. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the residency program director.

Salt Lake City PGY1 Programs Requirements:

• Proof of US citizenship.
• Graduation from an ACPE accredited PharmD program.
• Ability to obtain an unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in the US.
• Completion of one or more of the following; drug screen, background investigation, lab and physical exam, tuberculosis skin testing, Hep B titer.

Salt Lake City PGY2 (Psychiatry & Ambulatory Care) Requirements:

• Proof of US citizenship.
• Graduation from an ACPE accredited PharmD program.
• Graduation from an ASHP PGY1 accredited program.
