This residency emphasizes ambulatory care, outpatient clinical pharmacy, patient wellness, community practice, transitions of care, interprofessional education, and continuity of care. Pharmacists completing this training program will be competent and confident providers of direct patient care equipped to manage the challenges of current and future pharmacy practice. Residents will gain experience and proficiency in crucial areas such as pharmacy benefit management, collaborative practice, and expansion and marketing of pharmacy services. The program takes full advantage of its association with a world class school of pharmacy and gives residents extensive experience in the education of other health care professionals, patients, students, and the community. Residents will be given the opportunity to develop a personal philosophy and style of practice, skills in monitoring their own performance, and in demonstrating commitment to the profession.
