Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center's pharmacy residency program is a one year, post graduate, ASHP-accredited program. Residents will develop a foundation of critical thinking skills and will display leadership and professionalism in all aspects of their practice and function as effective communicators and educators. Residents will conduct a research project to present at ASHP Midyear and at the Eastern States Conference.

Penn State Health St. Joseph is a patient-focused institution guided by the integrated pharmacy practice model that offers 24 hour service. We have a USP-797 compliant clean room and utilize Pyxis® automated dispensing cabinets. Other technologies implemented include smart infusion devices,  barcoded medication administration,  electronic medication administration records and computerized prescriber order entry.
