University Health (UH), in collaboration with The University of Texas College of Pharmacy (UTCOP) and the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) Feik School of Pharmacy, is pleased to offer a Postgraduate Year 2 (PGY2) pediatric pharmacy residency. UH provides multi-disciplinary care as the lead Level 1 Trauma Center for South Texas, a level IV NICU, level IV, maternity center, and level IV epilepsy center. This 12-month residency is designed to provide a challenging training environment for individuals interested in developing clinical competency in the area of pediatrics.
Required rotations include: General Pediatrics, General Pediatric Specialty Services, NICU, PICU, Congential Cardiac, and Emergency Medicine.
Elective rotation options include, but are not limited to: Solid Organ Transplant, Hematology/Oncology, Infectious Disease, and Maternal Fetal Medicine.
In order to be considered for this residency, the applicant must:
Possess U.S. citizenship or permanent residency
Complete an ACPE-accredited PharmD Degree program
Be enrolled in or complete an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency
Be eligible for licensure in the state of Texas
