About St. Joseph's Health
St. Joseph’s Health is a non-profit, 451-bed community teaching hospital and health care network providing services to patients from Onondaga and 15 surrounding counties. St. Joseph's Health offers general medical/surgical care, medical intensive care, surgical intensive care, labor and delivery, neonatal intensive care, emergency services, orthopedic surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, cardiology, interventional cardiology, and infectious disease. It is home to the largest family medicine medical residency program in the Northeast.
We are a Magnet certified hospital, placing us in the top 8% of hospitals in the United States. In 2019, St. Joseph's Health opened the A. John Merola Cardiovascular Center of Excellence and the new Pharmacy Center of Excellence. We received a Safety Grade A from Leapfrog and were ranked in the top 6 cardiac surgery programs in the country by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
