This 12-month PGY-2 Oncology program is designed to guide the resident through a variety of inpatient and outpatient practice experiences. Core disease state experiences within this residency include lung, breast, prostate, colorectal cancer, leukemia, lymphoma, and bone marrow transplant among other common malignancies. The resident may choose electives based on his/her career goals. The residency is based at the UT Southwestern Clements University hospital and Simmons Cancer Center, in collaboration with the TTUHSC School of Pharmacy. In addition to patient care responsibilities, the resident will be involved in teaching activities, including didactic teaching, problem-based learning facilitation and precepting experiential clerkship students, as well as a residency project
