The Pharmacy Department
Our primary commitment is to ensure safe and effective quality medication therapy to the patients we serve. Our leading edge technology includes an integrated electronic health record (EPIC), pharmacy-nursing integrated electronic bar code medication administration at the bedside, pharmacy bar-code technology oral liquid and IV preparation, carousel and automated-dispensing cabinet technology, intravenous therapy bi-directional autoprogramming, and most importantly, an overall culture of patient safety with the patient at the forefront of every endeavor.
Our department consists of ov...er 130 dedicated employees who are waiting to meet you and support you throughout the year. Our pharmacy practice model is a relatively unique design, which includes clinical staff pharmacists, clinical pharmacists and specialists all working together in clinical teams based on patient type. We have pharmacy practice teams and team leaders in the following areas: cardiology, internal medicine, critical care, oncology, IV admixture, women’s health, peri-operative services and central pharmacy.
