Residency Showcase Program Listings

Postgraduate Year 1 (PGY1) pharmacy residency programs build on Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for Postgraduate Year 2 (PGY2) pharmacy residency training.

◊Create learning opportunities in patient care environments utilizing a multidisciplinary approach

◊Develop the knowledge base and clinical skills necessary to practice in various patient care settings

◊Develop management skills needed to conceptualize, build, and improve clinical pharmacy services

◊Strengthen oral and written communication skills when interacting with fellow healthcare providers, patients and families

Requirements:

◊Pharm.D. degree

◊Letter of intent

◊Three letters of recommendation

◊On-site interview with formal 20 minute presentation

◊Minimum 3.0 GPA
