Our residency program, based in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina, is designed to offer extensive experience in the ambulatory setting. A mix of longitudinal and block rotations in ambulatory, inpatient, and community settings allow the residents to build relationships with patients and providers across the care continuum through their residency year.

As our health system is a member of Risant Health, our program provides experience in value-based care to position graduates to be at the forefront of ambulatory healthcare transformation. Graduates will develop into clinicians that promote the use of evidence-based medicine and understand the complexities of inequitable delivery systems, therefore be positioned to help patients navigate the junction between evidence and the real world to achieve healthcare goals and improve health outcomes.
Each resident completes a research project and a medication use evaluation. Additionally, all residents provide ACPE CE programs to pharmacy providers and teach in the evidence-based medicine curriculum. A teaching and learning certificate is offered in collaboration with the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy or High Point University. The residents, along with a Cone Health preceptor, gain experience precepting students from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, High Point University, and Campbell University.

Graduate of an ACPE-accredited PharmD program and eligible for licensure in the state of NC. Apply using the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS).
