Welcome and thank you for your interest in Critical Care Pharmacy! Our Cone Health family has been involved in pharmacy residency training since 1968 and we are thrilled to further that training with a focused residency in critical care. Our diverse patient populations, our well-trained and motivated pharmacists, and our collaborative multidisciplinary services provide a breadth of opportunity for specialized training in critical care.
Our teaching philosophy focuses on providing challenging learning experiences to allow for resident growth and development into competent critical care clinical specialists.
We are also committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) by partnering with people inside and outside of our organization to ensure that we are embedding DEI into everything we do. We promise to be “right here with” all those we serve, which means that no one is discounted. That promise extends to our team members, and we keep it by deep reflection and examination of our policies, practices and processes to make sure our team members feel respected, accepted and valued, and they know that they belong.
Together, we will work with you to design a training program that is challenging and flexible and supports your areas of interest. Our innovative and caring culture fosters strong autonomy while providing clear expectations. It requires a great deal of self-motivation along with personal commitment to glean the full benefit of the experience.
Graduate of an ACPE-accredited PharmD program, completion of a PGY1 Residency Program, eligible for licensure in the state of NC, and a US citizen or carry a permanent visa. Cone Health does not provide visa sponsorship for pharmacy residents. Apply using the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS).
