Residency Showcase Program Listings

The PGY1 residency program builds upon Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education to develop pharmacist practitioners with knowledge, skills, and abilities. Residents who successfully complete this program will be skilled in diverse patient care, practice management, leadership, and education. Residents will be prepared to seek board certification and pursue advanced education opportunities including postgraduate year two (PGY2) residencies.

As a newer residency program, residents will have a unique opportunity to help shape the program to continue to support and train residents for years to come. Residents will have a closer look at the accreditation process and how a new residency program is started. This program provides a flexible training experience with plenty of diverse experiences available to each resident. Experiences include, but are not limited to, internal medicine, critical care, infectious disease, ambulatory care, management, anticoagulation clinic, specialty pharmacy/home infusion, cardiology, surgery, oncology, and teaching opportunities. Altru is looking to fill two resident positions.

Applicants shall be a graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) Doctor of Pharmacy degree program and eligible for licensure in North Dakota and Minnesota. Required application materials include: letter of interest, curriculum vitae, academic transcript and three letters of recommendation to be submitted via PhORCAS.
